60 g maple sugar
80 g butter, soft
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 egg
180 g flour
1 pinch of salt
Maple butter as filling
Whisk together butter, maple sugar, egg and maple syrup. Add flour and salt, combine into a dough, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Roll out the dough on some flour to a thickness of 5-7 mm. Cut out the cookies. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180°C, cool. Spread half of the cookies with maple butter, cover with the other half.
Filled cookies do not keep, consume rapidly. Unfilled cookies keep well, fill them with maple butter just before serving.
