- 2 tbsp of maple sugar
- 400 g flour
- 1 pack of dry yeast (7g)
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 dl of milk
- 150 g butter, soft
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp of small maple nuggets
Mix the flour with the maple sugar, salt and dry yeast. Heat the milk slightly (to about 38°C), add to the flour and mix. Add butter and eggs, knead until you get a soft dough. Let rise at least 1 hour covered at room temperature.
Put 3/4 of the dough in a brioche mold (or several small molds), shape a ball with the rest and push it into the dough. Let rise for about 30 minutes. Brush with egg yolk.
Bake about 45 min. in the bottom of the oven preheated to 200°C. Sprinkle with maple nuggets about 20 minutes before the end of baking.
Serve with maple jelly!
